This morning was quite chilly and for some reason, the maintenance staff in our office building hadn’t turned up the heat yet.

In an attempt to ‘thaw’ myself out, I made my way downstairs to the coffee shop to grab a large soy cappuccino. On my way out, I bumped into Cynthia, one of my co-workers. Cynthia, a stylish sista in her mid 40’s had her normally relaxed tresses plaited into neat micro braids. I complemented her on the new ‘do. She thanked me and added, ‘I have to braid my hair as soon as the weather gets cold otherwise my hair starts to break off.’
