After our first try at Fashion Week online, lots of new trends have emerged for SS21 including some beautiful nail art that will keep you busy this season. If you’re willing to try something new then give these a shot and level up your nail game ready for spring-summer this year.
#1 Matchy nail-art
Rebecca Minkoff stole the show with their adorable matching nails and face masks. This being the first show since Covid-19 meant face masks made an appearance on the runway and what better way to make your mask fashionable than matching it with your nail art. Whether it’s little stars, hearts or dots, play around and get creative with your nail art and you’ll be wowing the crowds this spring!
#2 Bubblegum pink
We saw a lot of bubblegum pink making an appearance this year channelling major Barbie vibes. Whether they’re long, punk-inspired acrylics or neat short gels, get out those stunning pinks this spring and flaunt your inner girly-girl.
#3 Modern French manicure
You’ve probably already seen all of the cute French mani’s flying around Instagram in all sorts of colours including neons and pastels. In SS21, it’s officially the return of the French manicure, but with a modern twist. Expect to see more natural versions with subtle colours and tones. It’s the perfect way to make your nails look clean and classy, so they’re totally appropriate for work.
#4 Neutral nudes
Jason Wu hit the runway with the most gorgeous nude shades. Deborah Lippmann reveals she “created the shade Brand New Day to create a super fresh and clean look that was reminiscent of a new beginning.” You can never go wrong with a nude nail and these kinds of shades will be very popular in SS21. Like a no-makeup makeup look, natural-looking nails are starting to make a comeback.
