Lockdown Beauty Favourites

One thing I can take from lockdown is how it has allowed me to try out lots of different things and discover new products that I will continue to use in my everyday life.

One thing I can take from lockdown is how it has allowed me to try out lots of different things and discover new products that I will continue to use in my everyday life. As make-up hasn’t been at the forefront of my mind during lockdown, I have found some beauty related products that I thought I would share with you.

1. Elegant Touch Glue On Nails

As we haven’t been able to have the luxury of getting our nails done it was my mission to find a replacement for this as it was safe to say I was slightly addicted to getting my nails done! I decided to try out Elegant Touch glue on nails and I was so impressed. They last a really long time on your nails without falling off and look very professional. These come in so many different colours, styles and patterns you’ll be guaranteed to find a set you like. They have been a great alternative to getting your nails done and have really helped me save some money!

2. Lavender Pillow Spray

At the beginning of lockdown anxiety got the better of me especially at night time and really affected my sleep. Thankfully I stumbled across a lavender pillow spray which helped this a considerable amount. Lavender is known for its calming and stress relieving properties, so it has worked as the perfect remedy before I go to bed. I spray a few spritz on my pillow about half an hour before I go to sleep and I have really been able to see the benefits.

3. BBC Glow Up

Glow Up is a competition series on the BBC where beauty industry legends Dominic Skinner and Val Garland judge 10 make-up artists to discover Britain’s next make-up star. As a viewer wanting to work in this area of industry it has been very interesting to watch to see what each of the contestants comes up with next! They have the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the beauty and fashion industry such as Rankin. It has been such an enjoyable watch and would recommend it to any of you makeup lovers out there!

4. Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops

I know tanning isn’t for everyone, but I never feel more confident then when I have a slight sun kissed glow to my skin. I’ve tested out many tans over the years, but the Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops are by far my favourite. You simply apply a few drops and mix it in with your moisturiser and it’s as simple as that! After a few hours you will have the most beautiful even subtle tan with the most gorgeous glow. You can even apply this to your face mixed in with your skincare routine.

I hope this has encouraged you to try some of these and fall in love with them as much as I have!
